The University of Bradford

The University of Bradford dates back to 1882 when it was formally named Bradford Technical College, and received its official university charter in 1966. The student community at the university is around 17,000 members strong, with almost 4,000 students studying around the globe.

The University is split into four faculties, which are further organised into schools containing the courses available. These faculties are:

  • Engineering and Informatics
  • Health Studies
  • Life Sciences
  • Management, Law and Social Sciences

On the city centre campus you will find many facilities for students including a selection of shops and restaurants, a sports centre, study areas and a theatre.

Students can immerse themselves into extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and societies, through the UBU (University of Bradford Student’s Union). The university offer a range of over 90 societies and almost 40 sports clubs.
