University of Liverpool

Based in the city centre of Liverpool, the University of Liverpool is home to over 20,000 students and has a recent ranking of 59 in the Guardian University League Tables 2016. The University is home to a long list of notable alumni including Philip Clarke (CEO of Tesco).

The University has over 6,000 international students based in Liverpool and has another campus based in China; XJTLU.

The University of Liverpool is comprised of 3 faculties:

  • Faculty of Health & Life Sciences
  • Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences
  • Faculty of Science & Engineering

These faculties are further broken down into schools, and these include the School of Dentistry, the School of Medicine and the School of Veterinary Science.

The University is committed to investing in the student experience, and have recently added three new university halls of residence on campus, in addition to renovating older university halls both off and on campus.

The students union offers 50 sports clubs including football, rugby, cricket and hockey. The University are involved with sports competitions on a national basis and compete in the BUCS competitions which involves 153 other institutions in the UK.
